The Show!
I have been meaning to post all week about the show last weekend. We took the kids to the show and we had the most wonderful time! Jasmine had an ABSOLUTE ball at the show and Kyan was on his best behaviour too even tho he hadn't had a nap all day.
Jasmine got her face painted again this year. Dean and Jaz went alone last year because I was not yet up to going to the show after having only had Kyan a short time beforehand. I was still recovering from the c-sect and didn't feel up walking around for several hours just yet. (not to mention being rather tired etc!)
Anyway, I as looking forward to it this year since Jasmine had such a wonderful time last year.
She got her face painted last time too, but last time was a mermaid, even tho I could have sworn it as a butterfly! Anyway, this time she is fairy and I thought she looked adorable! ;-) She rather enjoyed it herself and I suspec felt rather pretty! I tried to call her Fairy Jasmine but that didn't fly.. it still is JUST Jasmine! LOL
As you can see she got rather animated and had a wonderful time! She also managed to have a go at the clowns, she got a show bag, ate a hot dog, shared a milkshake with daddy, visited the baby animals (some of which were not that baby!), WALKED without complaining for 4 hrs! (with a couple of rest stops)
I was soo amazed. I wanted to bring our second pram but it was broken. But she did fine! Made me feel much better about hopefully going to Sea World at the end of the year without a second pram!
As I said, Kyan also LOVED the puppet show. He was clapping with everyone else at all the appropriate times and even watched most of the show which I found amazing!
Jasmine went on the jumping castle as well. My have jumping castles changed a lot since I was a little girl! They are not exactly a castle anymore but rather a jumbo slide and mansion rolled into one! LOL
Last year, apparently Jasmine would not go further than the very front part of the castle. This year, she climbed right on, headed straight for the 'stairs' to the slide and began climbing...she climbed, and climbed and climbed, my heart was in my throat when she slipped a couple of times...but she managed to hold on. I was sure when she got to the top and realised just how high it was that she would get upset and I would have to climb up after her.. since I was the closest and Dean was with Kyan. I was soo not looking forward to THAT idea! Anyway.. she got right up to the top without hesitation...and well the pics say it all!
The pics really don't show just how steep those 'steps' were and how steep that slide was.. I can't believe she not only went down the slide, but went back up again for more! When she got to the bottom after her first go I was flabbergasted, as was Dean. She was exhilerated and promptly told the guy running the castle that she could do it now because she was a BIG sister! He he. She then continued to tell him that she was very strong and had big muscles. ROFL!
I am so dying to scrap these photos, but have not yet had a chance.. hopefully this week! I need to get some layouts done as I have been given the opportunity to have a book of my layouts custom printed. I had better get cracking!
I am thinking about changing my blog to my own site. I want to make it a bit more personal and pretty it up a bit. First I need to find some good easy to customise blog software that is free. LOL Suggestions are welcome! ;-) I am looking at wordpress.. it doesn't look to bad but I am not sure how easy it will be to customise, I want something a little different than the standart templates.

Here is Jaz watching the show. My heart melts when I see her looking so happy. ;-)
And this is her when the kids were supposed to tell the crocodile (Snap) that Punch as asleep.

WHY must they....
Continuously play that horrible horrible ad on tv of the car accident where the baby gets hit by a car. I HATE that ad with a passion. The first time I saw it I felt physically ill. Now whenever it comes on we try to change the channel so we don't have to watch it. If I am not near the remote I cover my hears and shut my eyes till it is over.
I quite honestly find that ad traumatic to watch.. is there REALLY a need to show all the terror, blood and gore of such a horrifying accident in such graphic detail?? I think not. I am sorry but I think in this case their shock tactics have gone WAY to far. I wish they would get rid of it. It has been playing for a while now and I have soooo had enough of it.
Ok, there is my rant for the day.. I really must ring the stations that show it and complain..(just another thing to add to my list of things I have to do!) Ok, that is my rant for the day!

Cyclone Larry Fundraiser
I am very excited to have been approached by Trish Jones to host a fundraiser kit for Cyclone Larry. She, Tracy Ann Robinson and Kylie Clark (who is one of CD's recent new designers! ;-) ) designed the kit in order to (obviously) raise funds for Cyclone Larry victims. I am ecstatic to be able to do my small part by having the kit in our store. As you can see by the preview, the kit is just GORGEOUS! These gals have really put together an amazing kit!
I managed to get it uploaded just before I went away for the weekend (my very patient hubby waited for me to finish in between packing etc) and we stayed at my brothers. Of course his puta is being fixed so I couldn't check how sales were going and I was going crazy. Anyway, we got home this evening and sales are doing great. I am soo happy to see that there are many designers out there whos names I recognised, who have been supporting the cause and a large majority of people buying the kit are American! THANK YOU!
So, if you love to digiscrap and want a kick butt kit, or if you just want to contribute to a good cause.. or know someone who would enjoy the kit, head on over to the clikchic designs store, and buy it now! All proceeds go to Cyclone Larry Victims.

A flower for the Caterpillar
Jasmine did a drawing of a flower at Pre-Prep today. She told the teacher it was a flower for the Caterpillar to eat. I thought it was so cute, I just had to scan it for my blog! ;-)

Good Article on PCOS
I haven't been involved in PCOS support for a while now, since the kids came along I don't have as much time to devote to it. My priorities have now changed from conceiving being my primary focus. I always said that once I had my family I would get started on improving my lifestyle so that health played a much more important focus for me. While we were trying to conceive I just didn't feel I could focus on both infertility and weightloss.
I have always made some kind of effort to try and eat healthy, although this has somewhat fallen by the wayside with the Chaos of having two kids! However, now that Kyan is getting close to weaning, the time is coming that I need to start getting serious about eating low GI, getting back on Metformin (in the hopes of preventing diabetes) and hopefully loosing some weight.
Weaning Kyan is proving to be a challenge. He cannot have cows milk as he is milk protien intolerant. He has soy in his cereal and his custard, but will not drink it. (don't blame him!) I have been told you can get soy yogurt so we will have to look out for it next time we do shopping. I had gotten Kyan down to two breastfeeds a day, and then he developed gastro so I had to increase his feeds again to keep his fluids up and as he wasn't up to eating/drinking much but tolerated his breastfeeds really well.
I have only just got him back on fruit again which is still giving him a little bit of diarreah. My next step is to try goats milk. I gave him a little yesterday and he didn't think too much of it, but on the bright side, he didn't get any adverse reaction to it. Given his severe reaction to pizza crust that had dairy in it, I think that was a good sign! If he won't take goats milk I am not sure what we will do. At the moment the only drink he will drink is water. Anyway, I will keep trying the goats milk and see how he goes, hopefully he will develop a liking for it. Jasmine had no interest in forumula until she completely weaned, so maybe Kyan will be the same with milk.
Anyway, I digress! Once I have weaned Kyan I am going to concentrate more on loosing weight. With Jasmine I lost all my pregnancy weight without even trying by the time she was 8wks old, but 12mths on after Kyan and my pregnancy weight is still hanging around. So, it is time to get serious!
While I am no longer active in PCOS support groups online and in real life, I am still a member of POSAA. I am pleased to see they are still up and running. It is great to see! For a while there it looked as if they wouldn't continue. What got me started rambling about PCOS? I got sent a link to a PCOS article by one of the committee members of POSAA. Great article! Thanks for sharing Shayne! ;-) It has reminded me I need to get stuck into doing something about it again.. I have been pretending I don't have it for a while there! LOL I could certainly use some relief from my constant lethargy. Hopefully loosing some weight and getting started back on Metformin will help me out there. As soon as I have weaned Kyan I will go to my gp and get a full health workup done, and then get stuck into it. I think it is probably about time I had another GTT done as well. It will be interesting to see how my insulin resistance has held out since I was last tested!
Anyway, enough rambling from me! ;-)

Scrappers Choice Nomination
Clikchic Designs and a few of our members have been nominated for the scrappers choice awards.
Check out the nominees, and vote for your favourites here.
It will be interesting to see how it turns out! ;-)
It has been a while since I have done updates because we have all been sick with gastro, and I have also been busy getting a few new designers set up for our store. It has been so exciting getting some new designers for our all Australian team. I really love the idea of having an all Australian team in the store. I think it gives our site something special, and something for our growing Australian membership base. Digital scrapbooking is growing in Australia and I believe it is going to make a giant leap in the next 1-2 years. It will be great to be part of that growth and to be able to give Australian digiscrappers a place to connect, share layouts, join in on challenges and crops, share information and just generally enjoy digiscrapping.
I am so enjoying watching the growth of CD. It is enourmously satisfying to be part of that growth and to interact with the members and team members. Unfortunately the bigger the site gets the less time I have to participate on the forum and in the gallery but I try and get in there as much as I can. ;-)

1st Steps! - and a few updates...
Kyan took his first steps yesterday! It took me entirely surprise because while he has been cruising furniture for a while and getting more and more stable, he has shown absolutely no interest in walking. I was in the bathroom and he was standing at the door and he wanted to come to me, and before he realised what he was doing started taking a couple of steps.. he then realised what he was doing and was about to get back down on hands and knees when I encouraged him and he took another step and fell into my arms. I got sooo excited and he was so proud of himself.
It was such a shame that Dean was only 10mins away from coming home and missed it! I managed to get him to do it a few more times by telling standing him up and telling him to walk to Mummy, and then a couple more times when Dean came home. He is a cheeky little bugger as it is who is always into everything so I can see I am going to be chasing after him constantly! LOL We have had to put child locks on the cupboards under the sink already as he has a great facination for what is inside them and has recently worked out how to open them. We never had to use child locks for Jasmine as she never had any interest in opening the kitchen doors. She even knows to make sure Kyan doesn't go near them and that he is not to touch anything inside.
He gave the new locks a good test today and got a bit frustrated that he couldn't open the doors. Jasmine couldn't even open them so hopefully he won't work it out too soon! LOL
The poor little man has been waking lots thanks to teething. He now has 8 teeth and I think there is a molar on the way. He has been chewing on his thumb heaps right at the back of his mouth. He has also developed a nasty cough for about a week and a half which I have suspected might be asthma. With the weezing he has had with croup, and also some weezing without croup about a month ago, I have suspected for a little while he might have asthma but doctors are reluctant to diagnose it before 12mths. Anyway, he has been waking at night with fits of coughing and it all started around the time my own asthma flared up when we had a change in weather.. as it got cooler.
So I took him to the doctor yesterday and she thinks it is asthma too. So I came home with a spacer, mask and some ventolin along with a script for some Prednisone. My gp thinks the predisone will clear it up a fair bit. It is so hard to tell if the ventolin is working since his weezing is not usually audible except at night time, but you know he is having it as he has the same coughing fits that I do. At least I now can give him ventolin in the hopes it will work.
He had his 12mth vaccinations yesterday also and so has been rather cranky today. At least it is over and done with! We have had a cranky Jaz as well as she has had a nasty tummy bug, she got it from me. The poor thing was up last night screaming in pain from tummy cramps and woke again later on having been a little sick. We had to change the sheets etc, before putting her back to bed. I was a bit groggy having taken mersyndol to help me sleep through my own tummy cramps! Anyway, I am feeling pretty much better today and Jasmine seemed a fair bit better, tho still a bit clingy and pale.

Birthday Boy!
Our baby boy is now 1! I cannot believe how fast this year has gone! He has certainly kept us busy this year with his reflux, milk protien intolerance, teething, etc etc etc. At least his reflux is now over, with only occasional bouts which don't bother him too much.
He has grown up so fast, and he had a wonderful party on the weekend. We got him a Fisher Price front door thingy, with doorbell, front door light, mailbox, window and all sorts of other bells and wistles. He and Jasmine have been having great fun playing with it. Jasmine chose a fire truck for him from her which he has also enjoyed playing with. He loves to play with it in the car.
He got totally spoilt by all our friends and relatives and now finally has some wonderful boy toys instead of sharing a lot of his sisters old girly toys. He now has a little people pirate ship instead of a Little People house to play with! LOL He also got a wonderful Plane/Car so he no longer has to ride Jasmine's Pink Disney Princess one. It does have lots of bells and noisy whistles tho.. but I guess I will get used to it along with all the other noisy toys around the place! LOL He and Jasmine LOVE it and have been playing with it constantly. Kyan enjoys sitting on it but has trouble putting his leg over the seat so we have to help him out there.
I made an elmo cake for him since he likes Elmo! And who doesn't he is so cute! I thought it would be an easy one to make compared to my previous cakes, but getting the red icing and the black colour in the wedding cake fondant was a bit tricky. Jasmine desperately wanted to help me until he was finished but by the time it was 8.30 I still had a few decorations to make and she was soooo tired.. she ended up cuddling with dad and was asleep within minutes.
She did have great fun helping me with the ginger bread men and chocolate crackles tho! She LOVES helping me cook, the licking of the spoon and bowl might have something to do with that tho.. ahh the memories of my own childhood! It is amazing how hungry she gets when I am cooking.. but only for one particular thing! LOL
Kyan was very blazé about his birthday and didn't really seem to notice the day was anything special..perhaps just a few strange looks tho with all the cuddles I kept giving him. LOL
At his party he overcame his dislike of crawling on grass and decided it was worth the effort to crawl over grass to get to his Daddy who was on the other side of the picnic table. Not long after that he decided it would be a good idea to head full speed down the park footpath (thank goodness there were no bike riders around!) with me following him close behind with the camera to grab a few shots. I thought it was so cute.. it didn't take him long to travel a good 50-100 meters on that cold rough concrete!

Survivor Voting
Ahh! Looks like you don't have to be a member to vote anymore now, I just logged out to have a look and you can vote of you aren't registered! YAY! So, anyone who isn't a member.. vote away! ;-)
One Cute Boy
These challenges for the digi survivor are a great excuse to get some layouts done instead of designing kits for a change! Here is my entry for the survivor immunity challenge. My layout is here, and the voting is here. (you have to be a member to vote). We had to use a sketch for inspiration for this one. I found it a difficult sketch to work with but I think I managed to get it to work.. eventually! LOL
Challenge 2! - One
Here is my next entry for the survivor challenge! ;-) We had to do a layout using 2 background papers, 1 element, 1 photo, 1 font and we had to include journalling. I still have to do my immunity challenge, but I am snowed under at the moment.. still hoping to get it done today tho! Fingers Crossed. I am finding it hard to get inspired for the immunity challenge as we have to do a layout using a sketch as inspiration but I am finding it hard to get inspired with this sketch as it really isn't me.. I guess I will just have to find it somewhere! LOL
Anyway, your votes are more than welcome! ;-) My entry is here, and you can vote for me here. (You do need to be registered with doitdigi to be able to vote)

Digiscrapping Survivor!
It has been a while since I posted because things are just mad around here.. I have been doing lots of kits and there never seems to be enough time in the day to do everything I want to do. Kyans birthday is coming up as well so I am also busy preparing for that. I have some updates to do on the kids but I think I will have to leave that until after the weekend as things are so hectic between now and then.
I did want to do a quick post about the ongoing challenge I have entered at doitdigi. They held auditions and there are 29 entrants to the challenge. They have divided us up into teams of three and I am on the Elemental team, and our colour is purple.
The game/contest is a series of challenges which we all have to compete in and have our entries voted on. The aim is to get as many votes as possible, so that we do not have to vote a member off. There are also immunity challenges so that we can have immunity from being voted off. Anyway, it is all Survivor style so you get the drift! ;-)
The above logo is the entry for my immunity challenge. We had to do a signature tag. Above is the enlarged version. You can vote for me by clicking on it, and clicking on the vote button under the thumbnail of my entry. I think you have to be a member to vote tho..
Unfortunately we cannot show animated gifs in the gallery, so I had to show the different frames on the preview. You can see it above tho as it is meant to look.
My 1st Challenge entry is below. We had to do a magazine cover for our team. Please vote for me using the same method. It has been fun doing these challenges.. I can't wait to see what is next!
I did want to do a quick post about the ongoing challenge I have entered at doitdigi. They held auditions and there are 29 entrants to the challenge. They have divided us up into teams of three and I am on the Elemental team, and our colour is purple.

EMIMSAJ
How cute is this?? I took Jasmine to Kindy today and I stayed a bit longer than usual since she is still settling in there and her two best friends from her old Kindy (daycare) weren't there yet. Once they are there I become more of an afterthought! LOL
Anyway, while I was with her she did this little cotton bud painting and I suggested she write her name on it before she hung it up. She needed a little reminding of how to spell it, but I just LOVE how she wrote it! He he...
She knows the keys on the keyboard off by heart how to write her name and recognises it if she sees it but needs a little help remembering how to spell it when she writes it.
She was a bit dissappointed in her S and told me that she didn't do it very well but I told her she did a wonderful job, because she DID! :-)

Birthday Girl!
Ok, I am a tad late with this one, but Jaz had her Birthday party on the 22nd, and her 4th Birthday on the 24th. She is growing up soooooo fast!
Grandma and her Uncle and Aunt and little cousin came up in the morning to spend the morning with us which was lovely as she doesn't get to see her Uncle and Aunt very often... and well it is always wonderful to see Grandma! ;-)
Then in the afternoon Oma and Opa arrived and we went to her party at the park. We tried to keep it fairly small this year.. tho not as small as we probably should have! LOL There were still 6 of Jasmine's closest friends there for her to play with! LOL
I have to say I LOVE doing it at the park. Sooo much easier... less stressful. We put all the food etc in a box and took an esky of drinks and it was so much more fun for me in particular! LOL I am not the most relaxed person when it comes to organizing parties etc. I find it hard to enjoy myself when I am running back and forth getting food ready etc. Anyway.. I think we all enjoyed it more this way as Jasmine had an absolute ball too. She was totally in her element playing with all her friends at her favourite park. I think she felt pretty special for the day to being the centre of attention!
We needed less food because the kids were too busy playing to eat.. because the kids were off playing I had more time to relax and enjoy the company and watch them play. And because the food was all there in the box there wasn't a lot to do! YEAH!
We only had the one game of pass the parcel and it was plenty because they were having too much fun in the playground! LOL All the girls won a little something special in the game and to put it in Jasmine's words... she was the winner because she won a watch. He he.. well she was the Birthday girl after all!
After pass the parcel we had the cake. Jaz wanted a care bear cake, and the PINK one of course... awww, a girl after my own heart having pink as her favourite colour. She LOVED her cake which was great, and it was the easiest one I have done for her so far. Hopefully next years will be easy too! She said she wanted a different care bear cake next year so it will be interesting to see if she changes her mind or not.
Jaz got totally spoilt in the way of presents but it was lovely to see her so spoilt on her special day. :-)
Kyan thoroughly enjoyed the day too with lots of cuddles and biscuits. What more could a boy want?? I have decided to make an Elmo cake for Kyan's birthday.. I figure it will be a nice easy one for him and his first birthday and he loves Elmo, so perfect!
Bye Bye!
Here is a pic of Kyan and Oma at Jasmine's birthday party.. more on that soon. :-)
Kyan has been pretty good at waving over the last few weeks and waves when it is time to go to bed, and waves goodbye or hello whenever someone arrives or leaves.
Yesterday, he and Jasmine were playing on some pillows and Jaz was pretending to go to sleep on them. Kyan decided to copy and before he lay down on the pillows he waved goodnight just like he does before he goes to bed. I thought it was so clever and very cute! LOL
He also has started saying Bai Bai just yesterday when waving goodbye. He looks so proud of himself when he does it! He did it again this morning when Dean left for work which was great, because Daddy got to hear him do it too! :-)
He is just growing up so fast.. I can't believe he is nearly 11mths... sigh.. won't be long before he is walking and is no longer a baby but a toddler!
Now if we can only get his night time sleeping habits under a bit more control! Boy was I sooooo spoilt with Jasmine! LOL

No dairy!
Here is our little man having just eaten some vegemite sandwhiches. He was playing up to Oma showing his handywork to her. He he
Needless to say he loves vegemite sandwiches!
Well our clever boy has now started to crawl properly. He still uses the commando crawl lots but also does a normal crawl, usually when crawling short distances. We get all excited and tell him good boy and he gets a look on his face as if to say what on earth are you one about???
The other night (Thursday I think) he was up for the ENTIRE night.. well apart from about an hour. Dean and I were absolutely knackered only managing about 2hrs sleep each. Oma and Opa where here so that made things even more difficult as they were on our sleepa sofa in the loungeroom so we couldn't come out there like we usually do to settle him.
I took him to the hospital at around 1am and well that was an adventure in itself... Interesting the hospital clientele at that time on a Thursday night! Anyway.. they could find nothing wrong... his ear infection was pretty much cleared up (which by the way he got recently also), no wind, no nothing at all wrong with him that they could tell. Nurophen and mylanta did nothing. I was left feeling rather silly at the hospital.. but the following day I thought about it further...
Here I was thinking he was over his dairy intolerance, or at least pretty much. That evening we had given him some pizza crust thinking there would be no dairy in the pizza base, but it appears ( just confirmed by Pizza Hut a few minutes ago) that the Perfecto Base does have dairy in it. Thin and Pan doesn't. We of course had perfecto as it is my favourite base.
If you have seen Kyan at meal times you know how bad he wants to eat what you do.. and that was the case this time. We had pizza for dinner and of course he wanted some so we gave him the crust. The result was us all being up most of the night.. sadly I guess this means that his dairy intolerance wasn't improving as I had thought.. it must just be because he is breastfeeding less due to being on solids that I am able to have a little more dairy in my diet.
He has also broken out in eczema over the last few days which he hasn't done for ages, so my bet is that it is all related. Bugger!
I was thinking about not entirely weaning him at 12mths and perhaps extending the morning and evening feeds for a bit longer but at this point I might be best weaning him and putting him on soy (hopefully he will show more interest than he has so far!) as the lack of calcium from insufficient dairy is taking it's toll on me, resulting in leg cramps and restless legs syndrome at night time which in turn results in insomnia....
At least he seems to be tolerating the soy ok in his cereal and custard. I was initially worried about giving him soy because I had read that babies with Milk Protien Intolerance often don't tolerate Soy as the protiens are very similar as that of milk.

Jasmine's Update
Jasmine had an absolutely wonderful Christmas. Her favourite present was her scooter. She had been asking for it for months and thankfully even though most presents were already bought 'Santa' managed to squeeze one more in.
She was on a present opening high and I had to bring her down again... she kept asking if there were more presents to open. Ha ha. She has made a few leaps in development also.
She is no longer having day naps, although does probably need one every 5 days or so to catch up or she becomes absolutely ferral and throws horrible kicking and screaming tantrums which she hasn't done since she was 2. She tries really hard to be good tho because she knows if she is cranky she has to have a day nap.
Just before Christmas she started having dry nappies every night. Since we spent Christmas at Mums and Dad's we kept her in nappies till we got back and then took them off and put her in training pants. Well she has done WONDERFULLY and only had a couple of accidents since. Once was because her Daddy forgot to take her to the toilet before putting her to bed.
I am so glad she is finally completely out of nappies! She started looking like she would be last summer but as soon as the cold whether hit she started wetting the bed every night again so we put her back in nappies again. So hopefully this winter she will stay dry. We now have a half a box of her nappies sitting there, but that is ok, Kyan can make use of them as he is only one size lower than she was. He he I am sure he won't mind the pink for a week or two.
Jasmine got REALLY bored at home when I kept her out of kindy (daycare) for a week. She normally goes 2 days a week and over Christmas I kept her home and she did an aweful lot of winging about being bored. LOL
Next week she starts at real kindy, or 'Pre-Prep'. I think she is going to love it there, it is such a lovely environment. She is going to miss her current friends however as she talks about them all the time. She has two lovely little twin girls as friends at kindy and they all look sooo adorable together!
It is also her 4th Birthday next week! I can't believe it that she is going to be 4 ALREADY! It goes so fast! We are not having a proper party this year, although as far as Jaz knows it is one. Just a bit of play and yummy food and cake at the park, with a couple of her friends and family.
Jasmine also has a nasty cough and a bit of a cold at the moment. It is the same cough as Kyan so I will need to keep an eye on them both me thinks. If Kyan's has gone to his chest (when I take him to the doctor) I will get her to the doctor as well.
UGH! I can't believe how late it is, time for me to get to bed! So much for a couple of quick Blog updates! I had plenty to catch up on!

Gig at the Park
Dean and his band had their gig at the park on the weekend. The article in the Paper made a HUGE difference in attendance and there were a lot of people there enjoying picnics etc while watching the band.
I love being able to take Jaz to see her Daddy play drums. She enjoys being able to dance to the music and Kyan had a lovely time as well soaking in his surroundings. He also enjoyed a few picnic snacks, again despite the fact he wasn't feeling the best.
I was happy to see Dean play wipeout again. I haven't seen him play that song in years, and I always love watching play it as he does a great version of that song. As always it got the crowd going and they loved it.

Update on Kyan
It seems like ages that I have sent an update on the kids and of course it has been a few weeks.
Kyan hasn't been well since Christmas. He had croup over Christmas with some wheezing at night time. It seemed to be improving but then last week it started getting worse again. I took him to the doctor and she thought she saw something on his tonsils but suggested it might be food. She said to give him a course Prednisone for the Wheezing.
Well that night he was very upset and irritable and would not settle for several hours so I took him to the hospital. The doctor saw the spots on his tonsils also and said he thought it was tonsilitus. He has been on penicillan for it and it seems to have been helping although he has also developed a cough. I took him to get that checked on the weekend but his lungs were clear so that is good at least. He was weezing and unsettled again tonight tho so I might take him back to the doctor again in the morning.
He also now has 6 teeth. He got his 6th one just after Christmas. As you can see by the photo he still loves his food and you cannot eat in front of him without sharing it with him. It is rather cute but I am quite dismayed at how much junk he is now ending up eating. Jasmine never had biscuits and things till she was at least 18mths old but with Kyan he cracks it if you don't give him a little nibble of whatever it is you are eating.
Having said that since he has been sick he is right off his vegies.. at least he is still eating fruit and custard. I am now making his custard with soy milk instead of rice milk and he seems to be tolerating it ok. I have also started eating a little more dairy again and (knock wood) he seems to be tolerating that ok as well. YEAH! Dairy here I come! I have sooo missed cheese and Milo and all those yummy dairy things. I even had pizza the other night and no sign of any eczema on him or anything. YAY
Jasmine had a pool party today and had a lovely time. Of course Kyan had to have some of the food and polished off a lovely Home Made Chocolate Chip Biscuit... no wonder he had no interest in his vegies when we got home for lunch!
Anyway, that is Kyan's update.. hopefully he will feel better soon, poor little mite!

Website Upgrades
Finally I have completed the upgrades on clikchicdesigns.com. Phew! It was a lot of hard work but at least it is done now. All appears to be running smoothly and I am very happy with the end result. I think the site is much more user friendly and more easy to navigate. I really want the site to be a warm, friendly and enjoyable place to visit to encourage new members.
I am hoping that over the next 12mths I will able to build it up to the point where I can make enough from it to enable me to stay home a bit longer instead of returning to full time work. The plan is at the moment that I will go back in 12mths time, so I will be working my darndest to get this site going so that I don't have to. I really want to be able to give Kyan the same time at home that Jasmine has had as I think she has really benefited from having me home with her. (I can't believe she is starting prep next year!)
There are very few Australian Digital Scrapbooking communities on the web at the moment so I have managed to get in early, hopefully that will give me a head start. Membership has been growing rapidly, so I think that is a good sign I am on the right track, and after the Christmas slump, sales are slowly starting to increase again, so I think it is time for me to get stuck back into designing again!
